Embraer Phenom 300

The Embraer Phenom 300 is a light jet built by Embraer. Embraer announced in 2005 the start of the Embraer Phenom series of executive business jets. The Embraer Phenom series includes the Embraer Phenom 100 very light jet and the Embraer Phenom 300 light jet. On April 20, 2008 the Embraer Phenom 300 light jet flew for the first time and received FAA certification on December 14, 2009. Embraer delivered the first Embraer Phenom 300 to Executive Flight Services a subsidiary of Executive AirShare, which received the aircraft for a customer.

Embraer built the Embraer Phenom 300 to enter the light jet market and extend it's reach in the business jet market. The Embraer Phenom 300 is basically an extension of the Embraer Phenom 100 and can seat 11 people, including the pilot(s). Just like the Phenom 100, the Embraer Phenom 300 is also capable of being flown by one pilot. Pratt & Whitney Canada was chosen to build the Embraer Phenom 300 engine under the PW500 series engines. The Embraer Phenom 300 Engine is the Pratt & Whitney Canada PW535E turbofan engine that produces 3,360 pounds of thrust, two PW535E are mounted on the back of the Phenom 300 jet. The Embraer Phenom 300 cockpit/flight deck is powered by the Prodigy Flight Deck 300 from Garmin. The Prodigy Flight Deck 300 is a Garmin G1000 avionics suite developed exclusively for the Embraer Phenom 300 aircraft. Features of the Embraer Phenom 300's avionics suite are similar to the Phenom 100 and other aircraft equipped with the Garmin G1000 avionics suite. Update: In May 2013 Embraer got approval for an upgrade of the avionics system to the Garmin G3000 avionics suite. More information on this will be posted later.

The Interior of the Embraer Phenom 300 is designed by BMW DesignWorks USA in partnership with Embraer. BMW DesignWorks USA and Embraer created the Oval Lite® cross section cabin that allows passengers to have more cabin room to stretch out. The Phenom 300 jet also has the largest cockpit, galley and windows in its class, according to Embraer. Even the Embraer Phenom 300 baggage compartment has more space than any other light jet. A lavatory is included in the Embraer Phenom 300 and a sink is an optional choice on the Phenom 300. The Embraer Phenom 300 seats are capable of reclining to create a bed, swivel and slide backwards and forwards. An optional 10th or 10 and 11th seat is available to replace the extended galley located across the door of the Phenom 300 aircraft.

Embraer also focused on making the Embraer Phenom 300's performance one of the best in the light jet class. The Phenom 300 has a service ceiling of 45,000 feet and can climb directly to 45,000 feet under hot and high conditions at maximum gross weight. The Embraer Phenom 300 also has an initial climb rate of 4,000 feet per minute and can reach cruising altitudes in 15 minutes or less. Fuel efficiency is also another component to the Embraer Phenom 300. Embraer says that the Embraer Phenom 300 uses 14 % less fuel then it's nearest competitor in the light jet class. Also the Phenom 300 brakes are brake by wire controlled and provide better braking efficiency. The brakes are light weight allowing a lighter Phenom 300 airplane.

The Embraer Phenom 300 is also known as the E55P, Embraer 300, Phenom 300, EMB-505, Embraer 300 Phenom, Phenom Jet, Phenom 300 Jet, Embraer Phenom 300 light jet, Embraer Phenom 300 airplane and the Embraer Phenom 300 aircraft.
