Bombardier CRJ900 ER

The Bombardier CRJ900 ER is an extended range version of the CRJ900 regional jet. The only difference between a regular CRJ900 and a CRJ900 ER is the extended range that the CRJ900 ER has. Bombardier was able to create a longer range CRJ900 through an increase in maximum weights (Increased Ramp and Takeoff Weights by 2,000 pounds).

Bombardier CRJ900 ER range is 1,593 nautical miles, 1,833 statute miles or 2,950 kilometers. These range numbers are for the original versions of the CRJ900 ER, not the NextGen version.

Bombardier CRJ900 NextGen ER Range is 1,283 nautical miles, 1,477 statute miles or 2,376 kilometers. These numbers are from specifications posted in the CRJ900 fact sheet created in November 2011 by Bombardier. Over the years Bombardier has published varying range numbers for the CRJ900 ER and all CRJ900 aircraft. Previous versions of the CRJ900 fact sheets have increased numbers for the CRJ900 NextGen Range.

Also note that the Bombardier CRJ900 ER is also spelled as the Bombardier CRJ900ER (no space between the "900" and "ER") in some cases. This is due to the varying usage / spelling of the "ER" designation in literature published by Bombardier across all CRJ series aircraft.

The Bombardier CRJ900 ER is also called the Bombardier CRJ9 ER, Bombardier CR9 ER, Bombardier CL-600-2D24 ER, Canadair CL-600-2D24 ER, Bombardier CRJ 900 ER (space in between CRJ & 9), CRJ-900 ER (dash in between), Bombardier CRJ900ER (no spaces), or the Canadair Regional Jet 900 ER. This is due to the other names and variances of names for the CRJ900 ER aircraft.
