Bombardier Challenger 850

The Bombardier Challenger 850 is a business jet that is built by Bombardier. Introduced in 2005 by Bombardier, the Challenger 850 is a CRJ200 LR that is converted into a business jet. First delivery of the Challenger 850 occurred on November 8, 2006. Bombardier Challenger 850 Production occurs at Bombardier's facilities in Montreal, Canada and in Belfast, Ireland, just like the CRJ200. Currently the Challenger 850 is the only CRJ200 aircraft that has been built in the recent years by Bombardier. The Challenger 850 is powered by the General Electric CF34-3B1 engine. A 14 seat configuration is the base model configuration for the Bombardier Challenger 850 jet. The cabin can be customized by Bombardier to the customer's preferences. Positioned in between the mid size and large business jet categories, the Challenger 850 is claimed to have similar space and comfort in comparison to the Global Express (as expressed by Bombardier).
