February 2nd, 2015

  • Chorus Aviation, the parent company of Jazz Aviation signed an official order with Bombardier for 13 Q400 turboprops. The deal also includes 13 options, bring the order total to 23. Read more here.
  • A new Extended Service Program was launched for the De Havilland Dash 8-300 or Bombardier Q300 by Bombardier. This will increase the service life of the Dash 8-300 by 50 percent. The new program was announced with Chorus's deal, as Jazz is the launch customer for this program. Read more here.

February 4th, 2015

  • Mesa Airlines reached a principle (not final) agreement with Bombardier on seven new CRJ900 orders. The new aircraft are planned to operated for a major airlines in the United States. Read more here.

February 5th, 2015

  • Avianca Holdings Agreed to Order 100 A320neo Jets from Airbus with Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which is not an official order yet. Learn more about the order here.
  • LATAM Airlines Group / LAN Airlines took delivery of its first Boeing 787-9 Jet. The aircraft departed Paine Field en-route to Chile on an 12 hour 15 minute flight as LAN1305. Read about it here.

February 6th, 2015

  • Dassault Falcon completes the Falcon 8X first flight. The aircraft flew from Bordeaux, France on its first flight test mission and landed back at the airport after a 1 hour 45 minute flight. The aircraft is expected to be certified in 2016 and delivered to customers the same year. Read more about the flight here.
