Bombardier and Mesa Air Group, Inc / Mesa Airlines have finalized a firm order agreement for 7 CRJ900 NextGen jets. Mesa Airlines previously announced on February 4, 2015 that they had a preliminary agreement for the seven jets. Mesa Airlines will operate the 7 Bombardier CRJ900 jets for American Airlines under the American Eagle brand. Mesa is currently flying jets for American Airlines Group's US Airways and has been a regional airline for US Airways for a long time. The CRJ900 order is valued at $326 million USD ($326,000,000) at "list prices". The order for these jets was finalized at the International Society of Transport Aircraft Trading (ISTAT) Americas 2015 in Phoenix, Arizona, USA, which is Mesa's headquarters town. Mesa Air Group has previously stated that they are expecting all 7 CRJ900 NextGen jets to be delivered in 2015. Mesa is currently operating 57 CRJ900 jets with 79 seats and two classes. The airline also operates 20 Bombardier CRJ700 jets for regional operations.
